Stratus prepared a Hazardous Waste Tank System Assessment and Certification of Integrity Report (Report) for a large travel plaza off of Highway 80, located in Sacramento, California. The Report was prepared for a 1,000-gallon waste oil tank, using the guidelines of 22 California Code of Regulations (CCR) 12 66262.34(a)(1) and 22 CCR 66265.192 for tank systems that manage hazardous waste and have secondary containment. The facility consists of a: Restaurant, Travel Store, Service Center, Auto and Diesel Fueling Islands, Truck Scale, Storage Buildings, Truck and Trailer Wash Bays, and ancillary parking areas. The waste oil tank was inspected and certified by a California-registered professional engineer for: • Sufficient structural integrity,• Acceptability for storing of hazardous waste,• Compatibility with the waste, and• Suitability of tank and containment system design to achieve the requirements of the applicable regulations so they will not collapse, rupture, or fail.The Report was accepted by the Sacramento County Certified Unified Program Agency, and no further action was required.
